So when I was a child, our parents (rightly) limited the amount of chocolate and sweets that we were allowed to eat. However cooking was considered an ‘educational’ activity, and we were allowed to cook as much as we liked. Guess what I liked to cook most? Yup! I’ve been baking cakes and biscuits for as long as I can remember and am now making up my own recipe variations. I prefer wholemeal in my baking (taste, texture and slow release energy), but will add details on substituting plain flour.
